Records management FAQs

Q. Do all companies use records management?

A. Yes and No. ... We believe that the prudent ones do. Of course there are different systems and degrees of records management and therefore different levels of efficiency. It would be very hard to find a medium or large company without a records management system which includes document retention, storage and destruction policies and procedures. It's a critical part of the companies' or organisations' efficiency and compliance.

Smaller companies may not have the resources to use traditional records management and there are others who have tried to do it DIY and find it too difficult.

Our 100 box and 200 box packages may be ideal for those organisations because a) the costs are so low and b) the package comes with the rudimentary framework of records management. 

Q. Isn't it too hard to change a records management company?

A. Many companies make it as hard as possible to ever leave them and they may have put the frighteners on you vis-a-vis cost and excessive concern over the difficulties of a transfer to another records management supplier.

However, Saracen are happy to facilitate that transfer and administer the transfer process for you. Please discuss these issues with us because we have a great track record of doing just this and helping companies migrate to a better and a more simple solution at Saracen

Q.  Aren't all RM suppliers the same?

A.. Definitely not - as far as Saracen is concerned. We have made the management & storage process easy for customers and our ambition is to be as clear and simple for their benefit - especially when it comes to monthly billing. And we want customers to talk to us. We'd much rather sort out any queries or wrinkles than have the customer struggle without any help, as we hear happens elsewhere.
